"Just as your car runs more smoothly...when the wheels are in perfect alignment,

you perform better when your thoughts, feelings, emotions, goals, and values are in balance."

-Brian Tracy

Saturday Feb 24th 10:00-12:30 morning session (2.5 hr)

The Sacred Psoas Learn the true meaning of core strength and core awareness. Relieve sciatica and traction the sacroilliac (SI) joint. A powerful sequence of isolated muscle activations which are grouped into co-activations during yoga poses. Centered around back bending and hip external rotation this is anatomy intermediate, all materials provided. Unlike most anatomy knowledge, this is immediately applied to your personal movements and you will viscerally experience each muscle and action we cover in this course.

2:00-4:30pm afternoon session (2.5 hr)

Vinyasa Therapy and PranayamaVinyasa (conscious step or movement) to open the wind ways around your pelvis and lower spine so that we can explore external breath retention combined with yoga energy locks (called bandha) at the end of class. Clarify all the muscles from the morning sacred psoas session and feel very, very light. Then ground your emotions and intellect deep into your pelvic floor during our concluding pranayama session.

Sunday Feb 25th 10:00-12:30 morning session

The Heart Seal (2.5 hr) What is a stable shoulder girdle? How can we relieve the neck with the shoulders? Am I using my chest, shoulder, and neck muscles for breathing, rather than my diaphragm? This course will cover isolated muscle activations for the rotator cuff and shoulder girdle and group them into yoga postures themed around arm balances. You will learn the secrets to curing most yoga related shoulder ailments and gain the knowledge needed to train for stable and strong inversions. This is a highly meditative practice. Anatomy intermediate, all materials provided.

Sunday Feb 25th 2:00-4:30 Afternoon Session session

Dynamic Visualization - Headstands and Shoulder Stands This posture method is called Spotlight Imagery and includes dynamic visualization of the physical anatomy as if it were an energetic anatomy for the purpose to stop thought and achieve samadhi (yoga). I learned this process from David Garrigues. Animate your posture around your bones and joints and coax your breath out of hiding. This class will emphasize calm, and stillness in inversions with a step-wise progression towards free headstand and shoulderstand. Be ready to take notes with. Participants should have at least a weekly yoga practice, no headstand/shoulderstand experience required. Spotlight Imagery is the pinnacle of the hatha yoga experience.

There are very limited spaces left in these workshops so sign up asap for your space!
